How does the planning process work?

It starts with a conversation — you reach out, we get to know you, and then we build your itinerary from scratch around your interests, pace, and travel style. Take a look at our How It Works page for the full picture.

Do I work directly with Paul and Saori?

Always. There are no call centres or hand-offs here — you deal with us personally from your first enquiry right through to the day you return home.

How long does it take to put an itinerary together?

It depends on the complexity of the trip, but most itinerary proposals are ready within a few days of your consultation. We'll always give you a clear timeframe upfront.

Can I make changes to my itinerary once it's been proposed?

Absolutely — that's exactly what the refinement stage is for. After your initial proposal, we include up to three rounds of revisions to make sure every detail feels right before anything is confirmed or booked.

Can you arrange everything, or just the itinerary?

We handle everything — flights, accommodation, transfers, tours, experiences, and documentation. You arrive with a complete, confirmed trip and nothing left to figure out.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

Yes — we charge a professional trip planning and concierge fee, which covers everything from your initial consultation through to the final details of your journey. We'll discuss this with you during your consultation.

Is there a fee just to have an initial conversation?

Not at all — your initial enquiry and consultation are completely free and come with no obligation whatsoever.

Are your trips more expensive than booking directly?

Not necessarily — we have access to preferred rates, group pricing, and supplier relationships that often aren't available to the public. And the value of having everything expertly arranged and supported is something you simply can't book online.

Which destinations do you specialize in?

We specialize in East and Southeast Asia — including Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, and more. We also specialize in Japan cruise itineraries with Holland America and Azamara. The only country in the region we don't currently cover is Myanmar.

Can you arrange a trip to a destination not listed on your website?

Our speciality is East and Southeast Asia, so if you're dreaming of somewhere outside that region we may not be the right fit — but we won't leave you without options. We work alongside a wonderful network of fellow travel advisors within our host agency, Trevello Travel Group, and we're always happy to connect you with the right expert for your destination.

Can you combine multiple destinations in one trip?

Absolutely — multi-destination itineraries are one of our specialties. Many of our clients combine two or three countries in a single journey, and we handle all the logistics seamlessly.

Do you arrange international flights from Canada?

Yes — we can arrange your international flights as part of your overall trip package, or work around flights you've already booked independently.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible — particularly for Japan cruise sailings during cherry blossom season, which fill up quickly. For land itineraries, three to six months is a comfortable lead time for most trips.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my trip?

Cancellation and amendment policies vary by supplier, and we'll walk you through everything clearly before you confirm. We always recommend comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes — we currently hold exclusive group rates on select Japan cruise sailings for 2027 and 2028. Get in touch to find out what's available.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every trip — covering medical emergencies, cancellation, and trip interruption. We can point you in the right direction when the time comes.

Do I need a visa for the destinations you cover?

Visa requirements vary by destination and nationality. We'll advise you on what's required for your specific trip and ensure you have everything you need well before departure.

Are vaccinations required for travel to Asia?

Requirements and recommendations vary by destination. We always advise clients to consult a travel health clinic well in advance of their departure date, and we'll flag any specific considerations for your itinerary.
